The mineral tubs were nice enough, clean and in a peaceful, romantic setting. There is an area outside the fence that we could exercise/run our dogs. There is a clean, affordable laundry mat. We anticipated the RV sites would be a little rustic but they leave quite a bit to be desired; very small- we had to park our truck offsite because there was barely enough room for our 5th wheel, the site is so narrow the slides went out into the weeds on one side and the steps into the weeds on the other, we couldn't put out the awnings (they went right into the tall scrub trees), there is less than 11 psi water pressure, our shower was barely a dribble (we had to use the on-board pump to get pressure).
Great stop. Nice thing to do after hiking at City of Rocks. I had the public pools all to myself on a Sunday afternoon. There were other people in the private pools and the clothing optional pools. Very relaxing. Would like to come back and spend a weekend in one of the little cabins or camping.
Nice, well maintained hot springs , in a pleasant environment. The scenery around the area , is spectacular specially from the observation area at the rock city state park , which is just a mile down the road. The private pools are nice.
I'll preface this by explaining I was expecting it to be a bit rustic. But that was no excuse for the attitude of the staffer on duty. I'd never been there before, and requested just a bit more explanation of how it worked. The place was a maze and the person was not helpful in her explanation. I had to go back and ask for better instructions. When we found our pool it was dirty, not lit, and very rocky. It felt like one could easily get hurt if not extra careful. If you go here, bring your own light and water shoes, and arrive when it's still light.
No lights and the walkways in the tub are very rocky. The tub has no lights and is dirty. Thank goodness for cell phones. Lots of insects and smokers. Not worth 27.00 not disability friendly. Looks like a scene out of breaking bd with hot tubs and trailers
